Oxidization is the result of the sun drying out your vehicles finish. Your automotive finish contains oils which give it its deep vibrant color. The sun and its damaging ultra violet rays draw the moisture out of your finish, causing these oils to fade and produce a hazy, cloudy appearance known as oxidization  The best way to determine if your finish had proper protection is by applying water and watching the waters characteristics as it reacts with the vehicles surface. After proper cutting, polishing, and waxing, the surface pictured above shows proper protection in the image shown to the right. The water beads up and sits above the surface, easily rolling off. If your vehicles surface has any other reaction to water than it is time from oxidization removal, and with proper polishing and regular maintenance, your vehicles finish can remain as perfect as the day it was painted.  Choosing the correct polish and wax for your vehicles finish is critical in maintaining its finish, not only for aesthetic purposes but also to retain your vehicles value and protect the metal underneath. At Dynamic Auto Details we use only natural polishes and waxes. Our polish contains no silicone and our wax contains no petroleum distalates. Both of these are added to enhance your finishes shine temporarily, but end up accelerating the oxidization process. We also do not use a glaze, which is another type of product that produces a shine that is only temporary, in fact, most glazes last no longer than a week, wash off in the rain, and can leave your finish looking more faded then before being detailed.
