 An extractor sprays a heated mixture that contains a special detergent, made specifically for automotive carpet and upholstery, mixed with an enzyme, which attacks bacteria such as food and other living organisms. The extractor sprays this fluid through a jet with extreme pressure, forcing it to the base of the carpet and in between the fibers that make up the carpet and upholstery. This breaks up even the most stubborn dirt and soil contaminants.  The extractor we use at Dynamic Auto Details is a large capacity extractor, making large jobs like SUV's and minivans much simpler to handle, which produces better results!  Carpet and upholstery extraction is included in The Complete Dynamic Detail, no matter how much extracting is required, at no additional cost. Most of us that are not in the auto detailing industry do not know what an extractor is or what it does. Most of us consider shampooing to be the best method of cleaning carpets and upholstery. The difference is without an extractor, dirt is only being pushed from one place to another, and dirt that is deep within the carpet is usually not even touched by typical shampooing methods.  Directly behind the jet is a vacuum head with a narrow slit in it that has great suction power and is able to not only remove all soils, it also removes all of the cleaning fluid used to break those soils up. This leaves your carpet and upholstery free of dirt, soils, and cleaner.  When we first got the extractor, the first vehicle I wanted to use it on was my own, naturally. I wanted to see how much dirt was in my carpets, for years as a mobile detailer I thought for sure I was getting a good amount of soil from carpets with my method and my vehicle has been detailed on a weekly basis for the last seven years, so I didn't expect too much dirt. But, as you can see in the picture to the left, the amount of dirt and soil the extractor pulled from my carpets knocked me off my feet!
